The Background

The Auria is an in-demand residential development by The Peabody Group in the affluent Notting Hill neighbourhood. It’s located near the popular Portobello Road market; this project aims to attract young professionals and investors on the lookout for a comfortable yet opulent lifestyle.

The Challenge

The Peabody tasked InStyle Direct to furnish a 1-Bedroom show home which would exhibit The Auria’s sleek units, making it appealing to the smart professionals, families and investors who are looking to make a good investment in the property market, within the developer’s set timeline.

The success of the show home was critical in showing prospective buyers and contributing to the interest and sales of units in the development.

Our Approach

Our design is a refined response to the client’s brief. It is a strong visual embodiment of the brand identity which unites functionality and aesthetics, acknowledges the local context of Notting Hill, and keeps up with the aspirational feel that The Auria brand is known for. The client was extremely pleased with the result, describing a “fantastic design” and delivered through a “smooth installation” process.

InStyle’s interior designer Emma focused on the following elements to achieve the goal:

• Colour Palette: Strategically selecting warm colour tones that attracted a wider range of investors and buyers while also retaining the required sophisticated edge.
• Furnishing Style: Contemporary luxury with a mid-century modern twist.
• The Materials: Bold textiles to complement the opposing neutral pieces.
• Accessories & Art: The abstract artwork helps break up the modern lines and gives the rooms added personality.

• Feature Walls: Painting and wallpapering created focal points that energised the space.
• Window Dressing: Carefully-chosen materials allow ample natural light to filter through, as well as elevate the overall interiors.

Our approach proved successful, with The Peabody Group noting they were, “really pleased with the results.”
