The Challenge

• Integrating Diverse Furnishings: To keep costs down while maintaining a high-quality result, we utilised some of Regal’s existing furnishings sourced from various locations and combined them with new complementary elements for a cohesive look. The developer’s budget required skillful balancing of existing pieces and new items, innovatively mastered by InStyle Direct’s Head of Design.
• Designing for the Units’ Target Market: Our client’s brand did not have a strict identity to follow but it was imperative that it appealed to the target market of primarily young professionals and families. Our Head of Design knew exactly how to tailor the designl to this audience while taking care to stay well within the assigned budget.
• Logistical and Budget Constraints: Delivering a show home on time and within the budget provided demanded innovative planning and resourceful design solutions, which were skilfully and timely achieved by our expert team.

• Efficient Furnishing & Design Strategy: Our custom approach for the show apartment ensured a perfect integration of the developer’s existing furniture with new, bespoke pieces that modernised the unit and made it stand out. This approach created a design continuity and ensured maximum efficiency, as well as promoted sustainability by utilising the existing quality items the client already had.

• Tailored Design and Aesthetic Solutions:
  • An eclectic style was chosen to create a warm, lived-in feel.
  • A bold, iconic design sofa in bold rustic orange fabric was introduced as a statement piece, complemented by a living room that features a vibrant mix of complementary colours.
  • Bedrooms were styled with a cleverly contrasting calmer, neutral earthy palette to evoke sophistication and comfort.
  • A standout feature wall in the master bedroom, adorned with two contrasting wallpapers and refined moldings, provided a bespoke touch that set the tone for the entire shown home.

• Efficient Project Management and Safety: The project was meticulously managed to ensure on-time completion. Our team’s pre-completion expertise, leveraging robust RAMS and PPE protocols, played a key role in addressing on-site challenges, providing a smooth execution from start to finish.
• Sustainability Practices: Emphasising eco-friendly methods, we used water-based paints and non-woven wallpaper. The practice of reusing old stock furniture from other show apartments not only reduced waste but also provided a unique narrative of sustainable design.

The canvas was deliberately left neutral for changes to be made in the future, adding personality through statement pieces that can easily be changed or moved to other units in the future.
