Hyde Park, one of London’s most desirable Zone 1 neighbourhoods, is known for its hard-to-rival luxury and convenience. InStyle Direct has performed extensive work in this area for landlords, developers and homeowners, all looking to add value to their properties in different ways.
Our most recent work included the luxurious update of two tired bathrooms, an en-suite and a guest bathroom for a landlord client. With the client based remotely and unable to attend site visits, the entire renovation was managed by our experienced team, who focused on every detail and sourced only the highest quality materials to deliver a modern, luxurious finish.
A Classy and Grand Idea for the Guest Bathroom
The idea for the guest bathroom came from the tea room of the Imperial Hotel in India. Anna, our senior designer, aimed to create a sense of historic grandeur while making the room feel modern and contemporary. Anna chose rich, forest-green tiles and a deep, oak-wood vanity. The panelled interiors with brushed brass fixtures also made the overall finish warmer and more elegant than anything else.
Spa-Inspired Ritzy Touches for the en-Suite
For the en-suite, Anna chose a theme inspired by the chic marbled interiors of boutique hotel spas. We selected a minimal colour palette of warm neutrals, complemented by soft greys, and a fluted feature wall. To create a floating marble effect, a stylish round mirror with back lights was added, along with polished brass finishing to establish a regal look for the entire space.
High-Quality Materials Sourced To Meet the Client’s Brief
Although the client was off-site, our team ensured the use of premium materials and made multiple trips to meet with different suppliers. Finally, after evaluating different brands and suppliers, Anna and the client agreed upon Mandarin Stone flooring and wall finishes, Lusso Stone sanitaryware and brassware, and COAT paints to achieve a look of warm neutrals and crisp finishes. Quality control is a crucial aspect of our work, and our hands-on sourcing approach ensures that we consistently meet our clients’ needs.
The Result: Design Cohesion and Project Efficiency
Despite adopting two different styles for the bathrooms, the uniformity in design language created a unique cohesion that the client appreciated. Another success was staying within budget by following a refined sourcing strategy and providing accurate specifications to our trusted suppliers. The client was pleased with the result and commended the team for efficiently managing everything with minimal input and supervision.
Conclusion: A Long-Term Relationship Is in the Making
While this project’s mandate was to style two bathrooms, the long-term impact of this success story is the relationship that InStyle Direct builds with overseas or remote clients. By delivering a high-spec bathroom refurbishment service, our capable teams demonstrated how cultural depth is blended with contemporary ease to create beautiful spaces.
