The Background

Developer Far East Consortium Management Ltd reached out to us again to furnish another show home at their Aspen development, a prominent development in Canary Wharf. The client’s vision was clear: to create a space that helps the target buyer living there and to stand out in London’s competitive market, thereby accelerating sales.

The Challenge

The newly built one-bedroom show home presented a lot of promise, but the empty space did little to spark buyers' imagination and show the full potential to investors. Single-bed apartments with unique layouts, like this one, often require thoughtful furnishings and strategic design solutions to bring out their best features. The developer needed more than just welcoming interiors. They needed a sales tool that performed. The design had to bring warmth and personality while resonating with a wide audience and showing the potential to investors.

Our Approach

Our talented designer, Emma, created a modern space with subtle hints of luxury. A soft, neutral colour palette was chosen for the entire space to create an open and brighter atmosphere. Pops of colour, textures, and statement pieces were added to enhance the contemporary comfort appeal. The unique layout of the space was easily tackled by strategically creating sections for the entertainment area, office space, kitchen, and dining nook – all with a cohesive design that gives the space a seamless appearance.

In the living area, a soft neutral sofa was paired with textured cushions in warm tones of peach, beige, and muted blue. A sleek black coffee table and geometric artwork added structure and modernity, while natural light was maximised through sheer window dressings. Earthy-toned tableware with golden accents was selected for the dining nook to add to the everyday elegance. A workstation just behind the sofa, keeping it in the same cohesive colour tones. The bedroom was designed as a calm and welcoming retreat. A taupe upholstered headboard set the foundation, framed by bedside tables topped with warm amber lamps. Cushions in rust, black, and soft velvet greens added colour and depth, while textured throws gave the space live-in comfort. Full-length fabric curtains were used for the impressive bedroom window, which allows for privacy and a framed view of the city. The combination led to a bedroom that’s sophisticated yet inviting.

The Outcome

The show home led to multiple sales, including the show home itself, which reflects the impact the furnishing solutions had on marketing and sales efforts. Our quick turnaround, straightforward process, and the flexibility of our package impressed the client and made it replicable for other units.

Long-Term Impact

Our partnership with Far East Consortium Management Ltd is longstanding, and this show home marks our fifth project with them, which reinforces InStyle Direct’s position as a trusted furnishing partner combining affordable, skilled design work and efficient project management reflected in the outcome.
