The Background
A busy Airbnb host enlisted InStyle Direct to furnish, style and prepare their two-bedroom flat in North London for short-term Airbnb rental.With a busy schedule and limited time to manage the process, the client required an efficient and professional solution to prepare the property for bookings as soon as possible to reduce the void period.
Interior designer Lidwina opted for a Gold Furniture Package combined with add-on packs that feature a selection of optional extras, which include everything needed for short-term tenants, including kitchenware, soft furnishings, linens, and decorative details.
The Challenge
Presentation and practicality were equally key to this short-term listing, as they are common deciding factors when weighing up two short-term rental properties. As the property would function as an Airbnb, it needed to be furnished and equipped to a hotel standard. This included using textiles and furniture compliant with UK rental regulations, including practical items such as saucepans and toilet brushes, and making the beds to ensure no time is lost between installation and guest check-in. The client also needed the process handled end-to-end, to avoid costly delays or multiple contractors.
Our Approach
The core Gold Package offering essential furniture was tailored to the layout of a typical two-bedroom property. A stylish foundation of long-lasting, high-quality furniture provided sturdy beds, a complete dining setup and living room furnishings, ready for immediate use.
To complete the property, the client opted for all of our Optional Extras as part of their cohesive, ready-to-go package. These included bedding, towels, electricals, kitchen items, and accessories (styled by interior designer Lidwina) for the lounge, bedrooms, hallway and bathrooms. These add-on packs were installed quickly and covered all needs design-consciously.
Interior designer Lidwina worked closely with our install team and styled the property to ensure every room was photo and rental-ready, employing careful finishing touches to help the listing stand out on rental platforms, as well as being ready for the very first holiday-goer.
The Outcome
